Magazines - DAN AIR REMEMBERED

Grab a drink, sit back and enjoy as you step back in time. Most people enjoy reading an in flight magazine - It appears they are of of interest to many Dan-Air fans too! Nostalgia is fabulous isn't it? We have added all the magazine covers that were published for Dan-Air passengers. In the very beginning of the airline, a regular magazine wasn't a feature, but the first souvenir magazine was released in 1967. The most important function of the early magazine was to show the safety features on board the aircraft. The other main features included a bar tariff and duty free guide. It took until 1978 - the airline's silver jubilee for a special souvenir edition to be published. From then on, at least two magazines would be released annually. I am still in the process of scanning the magazines, but I am getting there - slowly! There's also some gaps to the magazine story - and that is where maybe you can help. If you have any of the missing magazines and you are willing to share them - then I would love to hear from you. You can send in scans of the magazines you have, or you can send the actual magazine. You can rest assured that the item will be looked after in our Dan Air archive - and never sold. We will also credit you on the site for the images.
